Walker Greenbank PLC (AIM: WGB), the luxury interior furnishings group whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co., Harlequin, Zoffany, Scion and Anthology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Mullan, a highly experienced operations manager, as Managing Director of Manufacturing, a newly created role in which he will have responsibility for the Company’s factories in Lancaster and Loughborough.

Paul’s appointment is the latest in a number of newly created roles, strengthening the operational management and organisational structure of the Company. During last year a Group Design Director, a Group Marketing Director and a Group Licensing Director were appointed.

Paul has 25 years of operational management experience in a wide range of manufacturing industries. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of Lily’s Kitchen, a premium pet food brand, prior to which he was Chief Executive Officer of Germains Seed Technology, an agricultural technology division of Associated British Foods plc.

Following an engineering degree at Durham University, Paul became a Manufacturing Manager and Project Engineer at Unilever plc and subsequently worked at companies including PepsiCo Inc and St Ives plc.  He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

In his role as Walker Greenbank’s Managing Director of Manufacturing his responsibilities will include the development of a medium to long term growth strategy for the Company’s manufacturing operations, which represent a key part of the Company’s business.

John Sach, Walker Greenbank’s Chief Executive, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Paul Mullan to Walker Greenbank in the newly created role of Managing Director of Manufacturing. Paul brings a wealth of manufacturing and operational experience along with a focus on customer service, all of which has been gained at a wide range of manufacturing businesses. Manufacturing, both for Walker Greenbank’s own brands and for third parties, is a central part of our business and I look forward to Paul’s input in driving its growth.”
